"The first edition was advertised in Harper's Weekly, IV, 1860, 160, with other books as already out, March 10, 1860. Irwin P. Beadle & Co., Publishers, 137 William Street. The original edition is of the small size (Type I-HB), but later an edition in plain orange wrappers of the larger size, with no illustration except the cut of the dime in the title, was issued (Type III-HB). It has 80 pages plus two of advertisements, and was issued by Beadle & Co., 118 William Street, and was copyrighted in 1867."--Johannsen, A. All pages are loose from binding and very brittle.
